The award for the proposed project, Beds for Crawford County Children In Need”, will assist in providing for children in need of beds or bedding for adequate sleep in Crawford County, Kansas, who qualify for future assistance from DBLO Association.DBLO Association is a 501c3 Non-profit corporation whose Mission is to improve the quality of life for children in need by providing clean, new or reusable beds and bedding to children in the local area. The grant is hosted by Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas. The award for the proposed project, “Making Beds/Changing Lives for Children In Need” will be used to purchase materials for the Coffeyville Community College-Coffeyville Technical Campus Construction Technology high school-age students to build twin bed frames for children who qualify for future assistance from DBLO Association in Crawford County, Kansas. The Fort Scott Area Community Foundation is a philanthropic group comprised of friends and family of the Fort Scott area who pool their resources to make a difference in the Fort Scott area of Kansas.
